About Cybersecurity Digest

This is a personal, non-commercial project by Igor Fomin. The goal is simple: keep a short, readable briefing on security news without turning it into a full-time job. The application pulls items from open feeds and composes a daily summary for Telegram and this site.

How it works

  • Sources are public RSS/Atom feeds.
  • Ingestion and processing run in n8n; data lands in Postgres (UTC). Tech stack includes Astro for the site and Telegram for delivery; some parts run on Azure.
  • Items are normalized, deduplicated, auto-categorized, and summarized. Links always point to the original publishers.

Schedule & time zones

  • Everything operates in UTC.
  • On weekdays, a daily briefing is sent around 09:00 UTC for the previous day, delivered to our Telegram channel and this site.
  • On Mondays, the briefing covers Friday–Sunday.
  • No “breaking alerts” outside this schedule.

Categories & tags

Tagging and routing are automated. Models and rules evolve over time; mistakes are possible. This is not an editorial newsroom, and tags aren’t adjusted on request.

Sources & copyrights

  • The application only processes content exposed via public feeds. It does not bypass paywalls.
  • All rights remain with the original publishers and authors. This site shows brief annotations and direct links to the sources.
  • If you own a source and prefer not to be referenced here, reach out — references will be removed promptly.
  • If you run a high-signal security feed and want it considered, feel free to share it.

Privacy

  • The site is static; there is no registration and no user accounts.
  • Minimal logs may be kept by hosting for reliability and abuse prevention.
  • Cookies are used only for analytics (e.g., Google) to understand basic traffic. No behavioral profiling.
  • If personal data appears in a quoted news item, it came from an open source. Removal requests are handled manually.
