AWS IoT Greengrass v2.16 Adds Log Forwarding and TPM
🔒 AWS IoT Greengrass v2.16 adds a system log forwarder and a new nucleus lite (v2.3) with TPM 2.0 support. The system log forwarder uploads system logs to AWS CloudWatch to simplify debugging and centralize operational visibility for edge applications. The nucleus lite TPM integration provides a hardware-based root of trust for secure secrets storage and streamlined device authentication on resource-constrained devices. The update is available in all AWS Regions where Greengrass is offered.

AWS releases AI agent context pack for Greengrass developers
🤖 AWS announced an open-source AI agent context package for AWS IoT Greengrass that provides ready-to-use instructions, examples, and templates to accelerate edge device application development. The package is published on GitHub under the Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike 4.0 license and is designed to integrate with generative AI tools such as Amazon Q. Developers can clone the repository to jumpstart creation, testing, and fleet-wide deployment workflows across supported Regions.

AWS Outposts 2U Server Now Available in GovCloud Regions
🔒 AWS now supports the Outposts 2U server in AWS GovCloud (US-East) and GovCloud (US-West). The fully managed, industry-standard 2U form factor delivers up to 128 vCPUs and extends AWS infrastructure, services, APIs, and tools to on-premises or edge locations with limited space. Customers can run Amazon EC2, Amazon ECS, and AWS IoT Greengrass locally while connecting to the parent GovCloud region for broader management and operations.
