AWS Resource Explorer Enables Immediate Regional Discovery

🔍 AWS Resource Explorer now provides immediate access to resource search within each AWS Region without requiring prior activation. To start searching you need, at minimum, permissions granted by the AWS Resource Explorer Read Only Access or AWS Read Only Access managed policies, and you can discover resources via the Resource Explorer console, Unified Search, or AWS CLI/SDKs. To index the full inventory, including historical backfill and automatic updates, complete Resource Explorer setup so it can create a service-linked role. You can also enable cross-Region search with a single console click or the new CreateResourceExplorerSetup API, and the feature is available at no additional cost in supported Regions.

AWS Expands ISO and CSA STAR Scope with Two Services

🔒 Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced that EY CertifyPoint completed an onboarding audit and reissued ISO and CSA STAR certificates on August 13, 2025, with no findings. The audit expanded the certified scope to include AWS Resource Explorer and AWS Security Incident Response alongside the other services covered under multiple ISO standards and CSA STAR CCM v4.0. Customers can retrieve certificates through AWS Artifact and view the full certified service list on the AWS ISO and CSA STAR Certified page.

AWS Resource Explorer Arrives in Asia Pacific (Taipei)

🔎 AWS Resource Explorer is now available in the Asia Pacific (Taipei) AWS Region. With AWS Resource Explorer you can search and discover resources across AWS Regions and accounts using the console, the AWS CLI, the AWS SDKs, or the Management Console's unified search bar. Enable the feature via the AWS Resource Explorer console and follow the product documentation to configure indexing and permissions. This expansion improves operational visibility, asset inventorying, and governance for resources hosted in Taipei.
