AWS Deadline Cloud Adds 6th–8th Gen EC2 Instances Now

🚀 Deadline Cloud now supports an expanded set of EC2 instance families — including C7i, C7a, M7i, M7a, R7a, R7i, M8a, M8i and R8i — plus additional 6th-generation types that were previously unavailable. The update broadens compute-optimized, general-purpose and memory-optimized options for visual effects and animation rendering workloads. Studios can better right-size resources for tasks ranging from compute-heavy simulations to memory-intensive scene processing, improving performance and cost-efficiency in the Regions where Deadline Cloud is offered.

🎬 AWS Deadline Cloud is now available in Asia Pacific (Seoul) and Europe (London). This fully managed service simplifies render management for teams producing computer-generated graphics and visual effects, enabling them to scale render farms near creative teams. Customers gain improved integration with existing AWS services and creative pipelines, and can now deploy Deadline Cloud across 10 AWS regions worldwide. Bringing the service closer reduces latency and streamlines collaboration across distributed production workflows.

AWS Deadline Cloud automates job output downloads at scale

🔁 The AWS Deadline Cloud client now includes a command to automatically download outputs for completed jobs from a specified queue. The command detects output files that Deadline Cloud has stored in Amazon S3 and restores them to the local paths defined during job creation. It can be scheduled with cron or Task Scheduler to run periodically, enabling unattended retrieval for final review and delivery.

AWS Deadline Cloud Adds Cinema 4D and Redshift on Linux

🎬 Starting today, AWS Deadline Cloud supports running Maxon Cinema 4D and Redshift render jobs on Linux service-managed fleets. Previously limited to Windows-only service-managed fleets, the new Linux option reduces worker compute costs and lets teams provision and elastically scale rendering capacity automatically. Service-managed fleets can be configured in minutes and the feature is available in all regions where Deadline Cloud is offered.
