📲 AWS End User Messaging now offers Carrier Lookup, enabling customers to retrieve carrier-related details for a phone number — including country, number type, dialing code, and mobile network and carrier codes. By validating these attributes before sending, teams can improve SMS deliverability, reduce failed or misrouted messages, and avoid sending to incorrect destinations. The capability supports common use cases such as OTPs, account updates, reminders, and promotions, and is available in all AWS Regions where the service is offered.

AWS End User Messaging adds SMS onboarding alerts now

🔔 AWS End User Messaging now sends SMS onboarding progress notifications to Slack, Email, or any Amazon EventBridge destination. Instead of manually checking phone number or sender ID registration status in the console, customers can receive immediate alerts when registrations are created, submitted, denied, or require updates. Support is available in all Regions where End User Messaging is offered. This capability helps developers accelerate onboarding workflows, reduce manual tracking, and improve operational visibility for messaging infrastructure.

📣 AWS End User Messaging now supports international SMS sending from US toll-free numbers to more than 150 countries, including Canada. This lets customers use a single US toll-free number to reach supported global destinations, simplifying account and resource setup. Available in all AWS Regions where AWS End User Messaging is offered, the capability supports common use cases such as OTPs, notifications, reminders, and promotions.
