🔒 AWS has launched Network Firewall Proxy in public preview, providing centralized controls to block data exfiltration and malware injection across application traffic. In explicit proxy mode you can set up filters in just a few clicks to control outbound requests and the responses your applications receive, protect against domain or SNI spoofing, and restrict access to trusted domains or IPs. The service supports TLS inspection and granular HTTP header filtering, and emits detailed logs to Amazon S3 and AWS CloudWatch. Preview access is free in US East (Ohio).

🔎 Amazon Web Services has introduced Agentic Search for OpenSearch Service, an agent-driven layer that interprets natural-language intent, orchestrates search tools, and generates OpenSearch DSL queries while providing transparent summaries of its decision process. The built-in QueryPlanningTool uses LLMs to plan and emit DSL, removing the need for manual query syntax. Two agent types are available: conversational agents with memory and flow agents optimized for throughput. Administrators can configure agents via APIs or OpenSearch Dashboards, and Agentic Search is supported on OpenSearch Service version 3.3+ across AWS Commercial and GovCloud regions.

🚀 AWS announced general availability of automatic quota management in Service Quotas. The feature sends configurable notifications (email, SMS, Slack) via the Service Quotas console or API when usage approaches allocated limits and can automatically and safely adjust service quota values in response to observed consumption. This reduces operational overhead from tracking and requesting quota increases across accounts and Regions and helps prevent unexpected interruptions. The capability is available at no additional cost in all AWS commercial regions.

🖼️ Cloudflare now hosts Black Forest Lab's FLUX.2 image model on the Workers AI inference platform. The licensed dev release builds on the popular FLUX.1 lineage with stronger physical-world grounding, improved fidelity for faces, hands and small objects, and advanced multi-reference editing to preserve character and product consistency. Workers AI exposes FLUX.2 via multipart form-data (up to four 512×512 inputs) and returns images up to 4 megapixels, while supporting JSON prompting, hex color controls, multilingual prompts, and a server-side binding for integration into production pipelines.

💬 AWS announced general availability of Amazon Quick Suite Embedded Chat, a ready-made conversational AI you can embed into applications via one-click embedding or API-based iframes. The agent unifies structured data and unstructured knowledge in a single conversation so users can reference KPIs, pull file details, check customer feedback, and trigger actions without leaving the app. Connectors include SharePoint, websites, Slack, and Jira, and enterprises retain control over data access and action scopes. Embedded Chat is available in select Regions with no additional charge beyond existing Quick Suite pricing.

🚀 Amazon EC2 High Memory U7i instances (u7i-6tb.112xlarge) are now available in Asia Pacific (Jakarta), offering 6TB of DDR5 memory and 448 vCPUs powered by custom Intel Sapphire Rapids processors. The instances support up to 100Gbps for EBS and networking and include ENA Express for lower-latency, consistent network performance. They are positioned for mission-critical in-memory databases such as SAP HANA, Oracle, and SQL Server, enabling higher transaction throughput and faster data loading and backups.

🧭 AWS announced the Address Form Solution Builder for Amazon Location Service, a no-code tool that creates customizable address forms with predictive suggestions, autofill for fields like postal code, and an integrated map view. Developers can generate a ready-to-use application in minutes and download a developer package in React JavaScript, React TypeScript, or standalone HTML/JavaScript. The builder aims to speed address entry, reduce errors, and improve delivery and fraud outcomes for enterprise applications.

🖥️ Amazon Web Services now publishes Apple macOS Tahoe (v26) as Amazon Machine Images (AMIs) for EC2 Mac instances, enabling developers to build and test with Xcode 26 and the latest Apple platform SDKs. These AMIs run on Apple silicon EC2 Mac instances and are backed by Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS) for stable, high-performance storage. Images include the AWS CLI, Command Line Tools for Xcode, Amazon SSM Agent, and Homebrew with the AWS Homebrew Tap. macOS Tahoe AMIs are available in all AWS regions that offer Apple silicon Mac instances and can be launched via the Console, CLI, or API.

🔧 Application Load Balancer now includes Target Optimizer, which enforces a maximum number of concurrent requests per target to align load with processing capacity. You enable it by creating a target group with a target control port and running an AWS-provided agent on each target. The feature can be configured per target group and is available in AWS Commercial, GovCloud (US), and China Regions. Note that enabled target groups consume additional LCUs and may increase costs.

This reduces onboarding time and keeps API configurations within AWS boundaries to reduce third-party security risks.

🔁 AWS introduces Billing Transfer, enabling a single management account to centrally collect invoices, process payments, and run detailed cost analysis across multiple AWS Organizations while preserving each management account’s security autonomy. The feature integrates with AWS Billing Conductor to protect proprietary pricing and support advanced cost allocation strategies. AWS offers a free trial through May 31, 2026; starting June 1, 2026 organizations using a Customer managed pricing plan will incur a $50 per-organization fee. Billing Transfer is available in all public AWS Regions except GovCloud and China (Beijing, Ningxia).

🚀 Amazon Web Services has launched Amazon EC2 M7i instances in the Europe (Zurich) region, powered by custom 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors (Sapphire Rapids) available only on AWS. M7i delivers up to 15% better performance over comparable x86-based Intel processors and up to 15% improved price-performance versus M6i. Instances scale to 48xlarge and include two bare-metal sizes with built-in Intel accelerators that offload data operations and optimize CPU-bound workloads.

📺 AWS has announced the general availability of Elemental MediaConnect Router, a managed capability that dynamically routes live video between sources and destinations across the AWS network. The service reduces transport latency and improves packet delivery reliability compared with standard transport methods, and supports routing across regions as well as between private and public endpoints. It is accessible via the MediaConnect console, API, or AWS CDK, works alongside existing MediaConnect flows, and integrates with the broader AWS Elemental media services to simplify live-video operations and reduce unused capacity and reconfiguration overhead.

🗂️ Amazon FSx for Windows File Server now supports File Server Resource Manager (FSRM), enabling file classification, file screening, folder-level quotas, and storage reporting for managed Windows file systems. FSRM events can be published to Amazon CloudWatch Logs or streamed to Amazon Kinesis Data Firehose and used to trigger AWS Lambda for automated responses and workflows. The capability is available today at no additional cost for new file systems across all Regions where FSx is offered; existing file systems will gain support during a scheduled maintenance window.

🚀 Google Cloud today announced a 30-day free trial for Cloud SQL, offering preconfigured MySQL and PostgreSQL instances to evaluate enterprise-grade features without upfront commitment. The trial exposes Performance, High Availability, and Data Cache capabilities and mirrors production-oriented SKUs (Enterprise and Enterprise Plus). Users can one-click upgrade to paid instances at any time; after 30 days instances are suspended and kept stopped for an additional 90 days at no charge. The offer is available in all Google Cloud regions.
