X8i delivers up to 43% higher performance, up to 1.5x more memory capacity (to 6 TB) and 3.3x greater memory bandwidth versus the prior X2i generation, targeting SAP HANA, large databases, analytics and EDA. The family includes 14 sizes, two bare-metal options, and is available in select US and EU regions; purchase options include On-Demand, Savings Plans and Spot.

M8azn offers up to 2x compute versus M5zn and up to 24% higher performance than M8a, with increased memory bandwidth, a larger L3 cache, and higher networking and EBS throughput. Available in nine sizes (2–96 vCPU) including two bare-metal options, these Nitro-based instances target latency-sensitive workloads such as HFT, real-time analytics, HPC, gaming, and simulation. 🚀 Amazon Web Services now offers EC2 I7ie instances in AWS Canada (Central). These high-density, storage-optimized instances use 5th Gen Intel Xeon processors and 3rd generation AWS Nitro SSDs to deliver up to 40% better compute, up to 65% improved storage throughput, and significantly lower I/O latency versus I3en. I7ie provides up to 120 TB local NVMe, up to 100 Gbps network bandwidth, and nine instance sizes for large-scale, low-latency storage workloads.

🔁 AWS has made cross-account sharing generally available for EC2 Capacity Blocks for ML, enabling organizations to share reserved GPU capacity across AWS accounts via AWS Resource Access Manager (RAM). Teams can purchase Capacity Blocks and provision them to multiple accounts at no extra cost, improving utilization and lowering costs. The feature is available in Regions where Capacity Blocks are offered, and administrators enable sharing by creating a RAM Resource Share and adding Capacity Block resources.

These 7th-generation instances are powered by custom 4th-generation Intel Xeon Scalable (Sapphire Rapids) processors and deliver 448 vCPUs, up to 100Gbps for EBS and network, plus ENA Express. 🔧Instance Scheduler on AWS now provides enhanced scheduling orchestration that tracks AWS tagging events, informational resource tags for self-service troubleshooting, an optional EC2 insufficient-capacity retry flow using alternate instance types, and automatic creation of a dedicated EventBridge EventBus. These changes re-architect orchestration and fan-out mechanisms to improve scaling performance and address cost-scaling concerns. The update reduces operational overhead and increases workload reliability by empowering distributed engineers to troubleshoot independently and by improving start success in capacity-constrained zones.

🚀 AWS has expanded availability of its EC2 High Memory U7i instances into additional regions. New placements include U7i-6tb.112xlarge in Asia Pacific (Thailand, Sydney, Singapore), Canada (Central) and AWS GovCloud (US‑East); U7i-8tb.112xlarge in South America (Sao Paulo); and U7in-16tb.224xlarge in AWS GovCloud (US‑East). These 7th‑generation instances use custom 4th‑gen Intel Xeon (Sapphire Rapids), provide 6–16 TiB of DDR5 memory, up to 896 vCPUs, 100–200Gbps networking, EBS throughput and ENA Express, and are targeted at mission‑critical in‑memory databases such as SAP HANA, Oracle and SQL Server.
