🚀 Starting today, Amazon EC2 C6in instances are available in AWS Region Asia Pacific (Thailand). These sixth-generation, network-optimized instances use 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors and the AWS Nitro System to deliver up to 200 Gbps of network bandwidth—about 2x the bandwidth of comparable fifth-generation instances. C6in offers up to 128 vCPUs across 10 sizes (including a bare metal option), up to 100 Gbps of EBS bandwidth, and up to 400K IOPS, with Elastic Fabric Adapter (EFA) supported on 32xlarge and metal sizes.

Powered by AWS Graviton4 processors and the AWS Nitro System, R8g delivers up to 30% better performance than Graviton3-based instances for memory‑intensive workloads. The family includes 12 sizes (two bare‑metal options), scales up to 48xlarge with 1.5 TB RAM, and offers up to 50 Gbps enhanced networking and 40 Gbps to Amazon EBS. 🔍 Amazon EC2 today announced AMI Usage, a new capability to track AMI consumption across AWS accounts and resources. It generates reports listing accounts that use your AMIs in EC2 instances and launch templates and shows utilization across instances, launch templates, Image Builder recipes, and SSM parameters. This reduces the need for custom scripts, helps safely manage AMI deregistrations, and supports cost optimization. AMI Usage is available at no additional cost in all AWS regions, including China and GovCloud.

🚀 Amazon EC2 High Memory U7i instances (u7i-12tb.224xlarge) with 12TiB of DDR5 memory are now available in the AWS Asia Pacific (Seoul) Region. Powered by custom fourth-generation Intel Xeon Scalable (Sapphire Rapids) processors, the U7i-12tb offers 896 vCPUs, ENA Express support, and up to 100 Gbps for both EBS and network throughput. These instances are designed for mission-critical in-memory databases and large transactional workloads such as SAP HANA, Oracle, and SQL Server, enabling faster data loading, backups, and higher transaction processing throughput.

These features support all EC2 Mac instance families on both Intel and Apple silicon and are available in regions that support EC2 Mac instances.

These instances deliver up to 30% better compute performance than Graviton3-based C7gn, include 6th-generation AWS Nitro Cards, and offer up to 600 Gbps of network bandwidth. C8gn scales to 48xlarge (up to 384 GiB memory) with up to 60 Gbps to EBS, and selected large/metal sizes support EFA for lower-latency clusters. They are optimized for network-intensive workloads, high-throughput analytics, network virtual appliances, and CPU-based AI/ML inference.

These instances deliver up to 25% better compute performance versus Graviton2 and can use up to 60% less energy for comparable performance, helping reduce cloud carbon footprint. They come in nine sizes, including bare metal, and offer up to 30 Gbps networking and 20 Gbps EBS bandwidth, running on the AWS Nitro System for secure, high‑performance isolation.
