AWS adds IPv6 for S3 Gateway and Interface VPC Endpoints
🌐 Amazon Web Services now supports IPv6 addresses for AWS PrivateLink Gateway and Interface VPC endpoints for Amazon S3. To enable IPv6 connectivity on new or existing S3 endpoints, set the IP address type to IPv6 or Dualstack; S3 will update route tables for gateway endpoints and provision ENIs with IPv6 for interface endpoints. IPv6 for S3 VPC endpoints is available in all AWS Commercial Regions and AWS GovCloud (US) Regions at no additional cost, and can be configured via the Console, CLI, SDK, or CloudFormation.

Amazon DynamoDB Streams Adds AWS PrivateLink FIPS Endpoints
🔒 Amazon DynamoDB Streams now supports AWS PrivateLink for all available Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) endpoints in US and Canada commercial Regions. This capability helps organizations meet business, compliance, and regulatory requirements that limit public internet connectivity. Supported Regions include US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), US West (N. California), US West (Oregon), Canada (Central), and Canada West (Calgary).

Amazon Keyspaces Adds IPv6 Dual-Stack Endpoints Support
🌐 Amazon Keyspaces now supports IPv6 through new dual-stack endpoints that accept both IPv6 and IPv4 connections, expanding available address space while preserving compatibility with existing IPv4 applications. The enhancement enables gradual migration strategies for critical database services and reduces disruption during transition. IPv6 access is also supported via PrivateLink interface VPC endpoints for private connectivity without traversing the public internet. This capability is available now in all AWS Commercial and AWS GovCloud (US) Regions where Keyspaces is offered, at no additional cost.

AWS Step Functions Adds IPv6 Dual-Stack Endpoint Support
🌐 AWS Step Functions now supports IPv6 via new dual-stack IPv4/IPv6 endpoints, enabling customers to send IPv6 traffic directly to the service. The enhancement preserves backwards compatibility with existing IPv4 endpoints and enables PrivateLink interface VPC endpoint connectivity so workloads can access Step Functions privately without traversing the public internet. IPv6 support is generally available in several US commercial and GovCloud regions.
