Amazon MWAA Adds Support for Apache Airflow 3.2 Release

Azure Files Entra-Only Identities Advance Cloud Security

🔐 Microsoft has reached general availability for Entra-Only identities for Azure Files SMB, enabling native Microsoft Entra ID authentication for SMB file shares using cloud-only identities. This eliminates the need for on-premises Active Directory, Entra Connect, or managed domain controllers, simplifying architecture and reducing operational overhead. Entra acts as the Kerberos Key Distribution Center (KDC), issuing Kerberos tickets while preserving SMB protocol compatibility, and supports VDI scenarios with FSLogix, Managed Identities, macOS clients, and NTFS ACL editing. The capability is supported across HDD and SSD shares, available at no extra cost, and is being extended to sovereign cloud regions.

Microsoft: macOS Update Causes Persistent Teams Prompts

📍 Microsoft confirmed that some macOS systems are showing non-dismissible location-permission prompts from Microsoft Teams. The company says a recent macOS security update is not retaining users' location-permission selections, causing the dialog to reappear. Microsoft is working with Apple and exploring a Teams-side mitigation while advising a manual macOS settings workaround. Amazon Managed Grafana Adds IPv6 Dual-Stack Support

🌐 Amazon Managed Grafana now supports dual-stack connectivity, allowing workspaces to communicate over both IPv4 and IPv6. Dual-stack mode requires workspaces to run Grafana 10.4 or later and is available in all regions where the service is generally available. This capability reduces the need to manage overlapping VPC address spaces and eases migrations to IPv6 while retaining IPv4 compatibility. CloudFront Adds OCSP Revocation Checking for mTLS Support

It is designed for zero impact on database throughput and latency, requires no infrastructure setup, and integrates with AWS Lambda and Data Firehose for downstream delivery. CDC streaming in preview is available in all Regions where Aurora DSQL is offered and is billed using Distributed Processing Units (DPUs); standard Amazon Kinesis pricing applies separately.

CloudFormation adds Fn::GetStackOutput for cross-account

🔁 Fn::GetStackOutput enables CloudFormation templates and CDK applications to reference stack outputs across AWS accounts and Regions directly. By specifying a target stack name, output key, an IAM role ARN for cross-account access, and optionally a Region, CloudFormation assumes the role and resolves the output during template processing. In CDK, cross-account and cross-Region references use this function automatically, removing the need for custom resources and SSM parameters. Configure appropriate IAM permissions and add the function to templates to get started; the feature is available in all Regions where CloudFormation is supported.

AWS RTB Fabric Adds Custom Domains for AdTech Traffic

🔗AWS announced that RTB Fabric now supports custom domains for real-time bidding transactions received through external links. This enables AdTech companies to preserve existing public endpoints (for example, bid.company.com/path) by using their own DNS and CNAME records without forcing partners to reconfigure endpoints. Customers can create routing rules to map URL patterns to specific RTB Fabric links so demand- and supply-side platforms can route partner traffic seamlessly.
